Spring 2026 Registration is NOW OPEN!
Every week, we divide teams into equal abilities, matching ages on each line. This gives kids a chance to hit the ice and play hockey with and against friends.
We have a Squirt/Peewee game at 6PM each week and an older Bantam/HS/Senior game at 7PM.
We can flex Bantams between the games depending on where they are best suited and most comfortable.

About our Spring Rec League
While we advocate that the off-season be used by youth players to play multiple sports, lift weights, eat, sleep, and "be a kid", we also know that off-season ice plays a critical role in overall hockey development.
So...for kids looking for some spring ice, we offer a "games only" spring league that lets kids drop-in anytime their schedule allows. The DDP Spring Rec League is designed to be a local, affordable, fun league where players of all ages and abilities can play with and against their friends.
Like all DDP Community Model programming, there are no tryouts. This is a recreational, "no-hitting/checking" league where player experience, player safety, and player development are put first at all times.
We will balance the game rosters each week with the aim of making games as close and competitive as possible.
As this is a non-profit civic league, we also give a $50 "Minnesota DIBS" discount to all parents who are willing to volunteer as coaches and help us manage and run the league. Just use the code "DIBS" at checkout.
Jersey Selection
All Players will have their choice of 3 different jerseys: Rooster Orange (Black for Bantams and older), Natick "Miracle on Ice", and Medfield Warriors.
Ages
What aged players are appropriate for this program?
Squirts and older may play in the league.
We will have 5 player swaps on a whistle, so that players of similar ages are always playing against each other. (And it's fine by us if kids want to test the waters and "play up" on some line combos to get experience against older, more seasoned players, or "play down" to work on their hands and hockey IQ against younger players)

What time of the year does this program run?
Games are every Saturday at Chase Arena, for 8 weeks from May 2 to June 20.
Squirts and Peewees play at 6PM.
Bantams and older play at 7PM.

All games are at Chase Arena in Natick, MA
Uniforms
Are uniforms provided?
Yes, all players will receive a custom jersey (if they don't already have one from prior years)
